Friends of East County Arts, Inc.

The purpose of this organization shall be to provide funds for the growth and development of audiences for the live performing arts; to present world class artists, and to support the fine arts and artists in the Greater East San Diego County area. (We are a 501C(3) organization.)

East County Schools Earn $5,000.00 from Friends . . .

2010 Kids Art ShowEl Cajon, CA . . . Elementary and middle school kids will exhibit their artwork at the 20th Annual Kids Art Show to take place at Westfield Parkway, May 14th through 16th.  East County district schools have been invited to participate in the event.  Friends of East County Arts, Inc, a philanthropic organization dedicated to raising funds to support the visual and performing arts in the Greater East County of San Diego, will award blue ribbons to the kids displaying their artwork and $5,000.00 to participating schools.

This art show provides East County students the opportunity to express themselves and view their art in a public forum.  The public is invited to visit the display and view the efforts of these young artists.  Admission is free.

Each participating school will select up to six pieces of artwork to be exhibited and submit a letter of intent explaining how they would use any funds they might receive for their art program.  A panel from Friends of East County Arts, Inc. will decide on grants to be awarded based on each schools letter of intent. 

Friends of East County Arts, Inc. is a local non profit organization that has provided more than $500,000.00 in awards, scholarships and grants since it’s beginning in 1984 to individuals, schools and various art organizations throughout the Greater East County of San Diego.

A reception awarding the grants is planned for May 14h at 6pm Westfield Parkway located at 415 Parkway Plaza, El Cajon.  The public is invited to attend the reception.  Admission is free.
